Delphi Turns 25!

[ The Delphi language is proof positive that all the best things are not necessarily household names.  Not only was Borland's Delphi OOP language (ObjectPascal) superior to every compiled, client-executable solution out there from vendors like Microsoft and PowerBuilder, its IDE was years ahead of its time.  To this day, I compare all the languages I run into to this groundbreaker. ]

On this day 25 years ago, Borland Software trotted out version 1.0 of the Delphi application development product, making the announcement at the Software Development '95 event in San Francisco.
